Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions, announces that Mr. Andrew Mamonitis has been appointed to the position of Country Manager with responsibility for both Australia and New Zealand. Prior to his promotion, Andrew was Sales Director for the region.

Before joining Kaspersky Lab, Andrew worked in the technology industry for over ten years. Commenting on his new position, he said:

As Country Manager, my focus will be the further development of our market positions in the consumer and corporate sectors, sales growth and the maintenance of our high level of local support.

Andrew’s appointment follows the promotion of Alexey Gromyko to another senior role with Kaspersky Lab in the Asia-Pacific region. Alexey has been with Kaspersky Lab for ten years, during which he has worked extensively on the development of the Company’s business in the Asian markets.

Mr. Harry Cheung, Managing Director of Kaspersky Lab APAC, commented on the appointments saying that they reflect the Company’s commitment to continuing its aggressive push to increase market share in Australia and New Zealand.

Harry Cheung also noted that Kaspersky Lab has made tremendous progress in the markets of both Australia and New Zealand in the past two years, forging new retail alliances and expanding its presence in the corporate sector. Additionally, he stated that the Company will be further extending its range of corporate solutions within the next few months.

Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions, announces that it was awarded 2009 ICT Best Choice by the Institute for Information Industry (III) – No 1 in the corporate user antivirus category in information security sector in Taiwan.

As part of III’s 13th annual “ICT Best Choice IT Gems Poll”, corporate users were asked to complete a questionnaire concerning their views on the various IT vendors.
