New critical vulnerability in Microsoft systems January 2010

Microsoft has released their January 2010 Security Bulletin. One bulletin has been released. Affected components include Microsoft Windows, Internet Explorer, PowerPoint, and Word. The bulletin is rated as ‘Critical’ and carries a potential impact of remote code execution.

An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could take complete control of an affected system. An attacker could then install programs, view, change, or delete data, or create new accounts with full user rights.
